About the Event

LATEST NEWS 28.03.22

Due to a couple of attendees having to postpone to a later date and room refurbishment now being ready, 3 last minute spaces have become available. These rooms are perfect, but are reduced due to last minute and have views to the front of the house and not the gardens.

Fintry Trust is in the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with views of the South Downs.

It is set in 13.5 acres of established gardens, with lawns, water, and woodland to enjoy.

All the bedrooms are spacious, cosy and bright, as are the communal areas. There are plenty of spaces to be alone, should you desire it.

It is perfect for single people, couples and friends. The practices are suitable for beginners as well as seasoned retreatees!

The only parts of the retreat we ask you to try and be present at are the opening and closing ceremonies and meal-times, otherwise - come to yoga, stay in bed reading, join us on a 2-hour hike, or spend time alone in meditation.

There will be opportunities to have private reiki, sound healing, and coaching sessions, as well as a Groove dance and fitness workshop (additional charges apply).

You can really make this weekend your own.

There are so many benefits to a residential retreat.

Taking time out for yourself, in a supportive environment, may even be life-changing!

Different from a holiday, a retreat is usually embarked upon alone, with a partner, or like-minded friend, in order to instigate some sort of change. It may be revealing and enlightening.  It may also be a very emotional experience.

Perhaps your intention is simply to feel better?

To rest, spend time in nature, eat good food and catch up on sleep?

Maybe you are at a crossroads, wondering which path to take with your relationship or career?

Or perhaps you want to start or deepen your meditation practice?

Whatever your motivation, our Wellbeing Retreat Weekend is sure to provide you with the opportunity you need.  It has been carefully curated, with space and activity to encourage rest, self-awareness, growth and development.

SILENT PRACTICE

Silent practice is optional.  If you participate but want to speak to a course leader, you are encouraged to do so.

You may speak in your rooms, of course.

FOOD

You will be provided with home-cooked, wholesome vegetarian meals for the duration of your stay.

A lot of the produce used to create the meals comes from the kitchen garden. The skilled chef will cater to any dietary requirements and works to create deeply nourishing food for us over the weekend.

Meals are served in the beautiful oak-paneled dining room, which is flooded with natural light in the daytime.

An evening meal will be served on the day of arrival, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the Saturday, and breakfast and lunch on the Sunday before leaving. There will also be afternoon tea with cake and/or biscuits.

Gluten-free/vegan and other dietary requirements will be catered for. Please advise on your booking form.

RETREAT LEADERS

REBECCA BARABICH

LIFE COACH | SOUND HEALING PRACTITIONER | LAUGHTER YOGA TEACHER

"I am an experienced and certified Personal Development Coach and Sound Therapist, registered with the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine.

I am also qualified as a Laughter Yoga Teacher and I am currently studying for an MSc in Psychology with Northumbria University.

Originally from North-West England, these days I am very lucky to live in Godalming in Surrey, with my husband, Ronnie, my grown-up son, Dan, and 11-year old daughter, Tabitha. Also, Cocker Spaniels Zoe and Bodhi, Walter the cat, and Hazelnut the hamster! I have two step-daughters, Amber, from my first marriage, and Ronnie's daughter, Amelie.

I enjoyed a successful and rewarding career in Sales, Marketing, and PR for more than 20 years. However, latterly I experienced health issues, disillusion, and burn-out! Juggling a demanding work schedule with family life, I knew life had much more to offer.

I have always been passionate about psychology, alternative therapy and interested in Eastern Philosophy, and felt called to train as a Sound Practitioner.

Having gained my qualification, in January 2000, I took the leap and launched Heron Moon Wellbeing, combining my long-held Life Coaching Diploma with my sound healing work.

Since my most recent paid employment had been Head of PR and Events, it was natural for me to quickly progress from individual coaching and therapy to workshops, courses, wellbeing events, and retreats.

Sometimes alone and sometimes with others. I found my tribe! I have met and worked with some wonderful leaders, healers, teachers, and fantastic men and women seeking peace, joy, and fulfillment in their lives.

I am very lucky to have witnessed some amazing growth, development, and connection. Sometimes I am astounded by my clients. They demonstrate our ability as human beings to flourish, despite difficult and challenging circumstances.

We have more in common with each other than that which divides us, and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to follow my path to self-actualization. I wish the same for you too.

If I've met you already, I hope to see you again, and I haven't met you yet, I hope to do so soon."

HELEN MERCERCOX

YOGA | AROMATHERAPY | REIKI

"I am Helen and I am passionate about sharing the amazing powers of Yoga, Essential Oils, Reiki & Ayurveda. I’d like you to feel at home & welcome in my classes and sessions, I am here to support & guide you, to help you bring some harmony into your life.

I have personally practiced yoga for many years and have incorporated essential oils in every aspect of my life. I found both yoga and essential oils have helped me to become a truer version of myself.

As well as the practices mentioned above am really influenced by nature, I love to practice outside and bring the forests, seas, and the changing seasons into my life in many different ways.

And would love to bring some of all this magic into your life too."
